Why Health Coaching Matters
Our Health Coaches and Behavioral Change Specialists work in close collaboration with Dr. Oberg’s clinical team to reinforce care plans, support real‑world decision‑making, and help patients navigate challenges as they arise. This added layer of support helps patients feel less overwhelmed, more confident, and better equipped to follow through long term.
Who Health Coaching Is For
Health Coaching is a strong fit for patients who:
- Want support staying consistent with nutrition, movement, sleep, and lifestyle habits
- Feel overwhelmed implementing recommendations on their own
- Are navigating weight loss, metabolic health, hormone transitions, or performance goals
- Want accountability and encouragement between medical visits
- Are participating in a structured program and want guidance to build lasting routines
What Coaching Looks Like
Coaching sessions are warm, collaborative, and highly individualized. Patients commonly use coaching to:
- Create realistic weekly plans that fit their schedule, preferences, and energy
- Receive guidance on meal planning, macro support, and exercise programming
- Build sustainable habits rather than aiming for short‑term perfection
- Integrate stress management tools such as breathwork, meditation, or restorative movement
- Navigate plateaus, motivation dips, travel, or high‑stress periods
- Identify what’s working, what’s not, and what to adjust next
Each session focuses on clear priorities, practical next steps, and compassionate problem‑solving—so patients leave with a plan they feel confident implementing in real life.
The Role of Coaching in Your Care
Health Coaching is not medical care, and it is not about treating disease. Instead, it serves as an accessible, supportive bridge between visits—helping patients apply medical guidance consistently and thoughtfully.
By strengthening daily habits and follow‑through, coaching enhances the effectiveness of the medical care patients receive and helps results feel more sustainable over time.
The Goal
Health Coaching is not about perfection. It’s about progress, consistency, and confidence.
The goal is to help patients feel supported in their day‑to‑day choices, capable of maintaining results long term, and empowered to take an active role in their health—while complementing the medical care they receive from Dr. Oberg.
How Coaching Is Offered
Health Coaching is integrated into our program based care and is a key component of the patient experience. Coaching may also be used between medical visits to support lifestyle implementation, depending on individual goals and clinical fit. With ongoing support and accountability, patients stay engaged, build momentum, and strengthen long term outcomes.
Important Note
Health Coaching is educational and supportive in nature. Coaches do not address medical questions related to diagnoses, prescriptions, lab interpretation, symptoms, or urgent concerns. For medical questions, patients should contact the clinical team directly.
